Maisaura with Nest - Carnegie Collection

This cute Maisaura with her nest of just hatched babies is known in the office as Mama Mia-saur

Maisaura were big, peaceful herbivores which lived in huge nesting colonies (a bit like sea birds) and their name means 'caring mother lizard'

She has the classic 'duck-billed' Hadrosaur face with the bony crest above the eyes.

She's 20cm from nose to tail and around 7.5cm high

The nest is a completely separate item and is around 8cm in diameter and has two itty bitty Maisaura babies inside

Age 3+

One of the famous collection of dinosaur models sculpted under the guidance of the Carnegie Museum which holds the largest collection of dinosaur fossils in the world. The models were first produced in 1988, are hand painted, made to 1/20th or 1/40th scale and they all have an information tag too
